Document Management Technician (Part-Time or Full-Time) – City of Dayton


Location: Dayton, OH
Pay: Starting at $19.59/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Work Location: In person

Position Overview:
The City of Dayton is seeking a detail-oriented Document Management Technician to support citywide printing, publishing, and mail operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical skills, customer service experience, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring high-quality print production, mail processing, inventory control, and internal service support for departments across the city.

What You’ll Do:
Responsibilities include:

  • Operate offset and digital printing systems, including high-volume printers and specialized bindery equipment
  • Use collators, folders, staplers, paper cutters, laminators, binding machines, engraving equipment, and more
  • Design and prepare original artwork for print assignments
  • Trim, mount, and finish printed materials
  • Clean, oil, adjust, and perform minor repairs on printing and bindery equipment
  • Maintain digital art files and completed project archives
  • Process, sort, deliver, and track organizational mail
  • Operate postage equipment and maintain bulk-rate mailing records
  • Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving shipments, and stock organization
  • Support internal and external customers with printing requests and project guidance
  • Enforce City printing policies and stay current on evolving print technologies

Work Environment:

  • Standard weekday schedule with no weekends

  • Mechanical aptitude for minor equipment maintenance preferred
